Ellis Katz has repeatedly demonstrated the results of team leadership in the hospitality and mixed use sectors. Dedicated and energetic, he has successfully managed large-scale architectural projects in which he shows a clear understanding of the technical requirements of a project as well as a sensitivity to design issues. Ellis understands the business objectives of a hotel project as he works with the design team to ensure that projects deliver both a memorable guest experience as well as exceptional operational efficiency. His communication skills and personal demeanor make him an excellent team player. His organizational skills and conscientious follow through help keep his team focused. Ellis provides clients with responsiveness and accountability.
Prior to joining PMC, Ellis worked more than 17 years as a Principal and Hospitality Studio Director with John Portman & Associates (JPA). He served as one of JPA's primary experts in hospitality and mixed-use projects.
Prior to JPA, Ellis worked 10 years as an Associate Principal with Loebl Schlossman & Hackl, Inc. in Chicago. His work there included design, master planning and project management, with responsibility for complete project coordination through tenant move-in.
