Colleen is an associate in the firm’s Construction practice group. Her construction practice focuses on project delivery counseling, drafting and negotiating design and construction agreements, and counseling clients on claims and dispute resolution.
Before joining Thompson Hine, Colleen served as manager and counsel for the AIA Contract Documents program at the American Institute of Architects, Washington, D.C. While there, she worked with the Documents Committee to create and revise AIA standard form documents, contributed to the Construction Law Handbook and drafted articles that were frequently printed in industry publications. Prior to joining AIA, Colleen practiced municipal, employment, business, contract, and real estate law at a general practice law firm in Cleveland. Her other experience includes contract administration and construction management for a national construction company engaged in heavy civil and infrastructure projects in Virginia, as well as project development for a residential design-build company in northeast Ohio.
While attending law school, Colleen externed at the United States Patent and Trademark Office where she analyzed electrical and wireless technology patent applications.
